I have the same problem Edit: What actually helped me was to do a npm cache verify and then trying to install it again. I had done it before and it did not worked though I think it worked after I updated the npm to its latest version. Both packages are optional since I'm installing on Windows.

There was no seems to be corrupted error, cache clean and cache verify didn't help. I ended up removing these packages from package. It worked! I removed those optional dependencies from package.

I spent hours trying to get it to work. Thanks a Million! I ran into the same issue. I performed npm uninstall expo-cli --global then npm install expo-cli --global and it worked. Im having the same problem, did you remove those files from package. The problem disappeared for me with newer release, uninstalled global expo-cli and it was installed successfully.
